Higher Brightness levels and greater viewing angles

Front projection in high-light environments is a challenge which can only be mastered by using high-end screen material which does not reflect ambient light.  There is a demand for such solutions, as interior designers, architects and builders alike all prefer to have their presentation rooms flooded with plenty of light, not darkened.  Dnp has come to the rescue with a great solution for such applications, the new 23-23 screen material for their award-winning Supernova!

Global Caché’s IP-Bus devices have become well-established
as a key component in many control system solutions for
audio-visual applications and in building automation systems.

Small, economically priced, multi-purpose and deployable in

Control concepts in the conference room or in the private home often involve the operation of home automation as well as that of lights, blinds and heating/air condition. The physical connection of these components and systems is usually carried out in an existing electrical cabinet.

The ProSWITCH Bus Device is designed to simplify this connection process. It attaches on the mounting rail like an automatic circuit breaker saving you the circumstantial cabling from the 19" rack to the electrical cabinet. This device allows for a single network cable to be sufficient.

Brightly lit rooms and front projection:  two demands which seem incompatible.  It is often the case with high-end board- and conference rooms, that for aesthetic reasons the room is flooded by natural light with little or no possibility to darken the room for front projection.  Rear projection is often not possible for reasons of space. What is an integrator to do?

Integration and control on the open platform
The conventional control systems for private homes or conference rooms are usually proprietary systems which only work with control devices (e.g. touch panels) or bus devices (control interfaces) of the same manufacturer.

AVIT stands for open compatibility and established standards. The user is free to choose whatever hardware from whatever supplier best fits his needs. The only requirement is that the hardware must fulfill and comply with established industry standards to guarantee compatibility.

The AVIT concept AVIT offers control system solutions with software and hardware components. The concept behind AVIT is to use TCP/IP as the communication infrastructure for the components in the system. Existing IP-Networks at home or in commercial installations can be used to distribute the AVIT control data. Extensive and expensive cabling, as well as time consuming programming using proprietary programming languages and platforms is now a relic of the past. IP-Network Infrastructure All industry-standard IP-Networks are qualified to be utilized as the backbone for the AVIT control communication. HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Jan. 26, 2008 – Avocent Corporation (Nasdaq: AVCT) today at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) trade conference in Amsterdam announced a new exclusive distributor relationship with COMM-TEC Vertriebsgesellschaft für Communication Techology mbH of Uhingen, Germany. As part of the agreement, COMM-TEC will exclusively offer Avocent’s family of Pro-A/V Emerge wired and wireless products in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Avocent offers a full line of “Managed A/V Infrastructure” solutions for professional audio/video and broadcast markets. The Avocent Emerge family of wired and wireless products provide AV and KVM extension, switching, distribution and signal processing. At the 2008 ISE trade show, Avocent further expanded its Emerge product line with a high-definition (HD) multipoint extender, which wirelessly distributes HD content from a single source to multiple destinations and as well as new solutions to enable broadcast professionals to convert digital and analog video to other formats (see companion announcements).
